The AM3703 and AM3715, Two New Cortex-A8 Sitara Microprocessors

The AM3703 and AM3715 are two new Cortex-A8 Sitara™ microprocessors that deliver up to 1GHz ARM performance while providing low power operation. These MPUs are suitable for a wide variety of applications, such as portable data terminals, portable medical equipment, home and building automation, navigation systems, smart displays and human machine interaction (HMI) industrial interfaces and other applications which demand require high-performance, low-power processing capabilities. Offering a nearly 40 percent increase in ARM performance, double the 3D graphics performance, and lowering power by up to when compared to previous generations. A complete suite of software, demos and development tools complement the scalability of the AM37x hardware and software to further reduce customers’ time to market.

  • Multiple device packages optimized for space and layout flexibility
  • Key peripherals: USB HS Host x3, USB 2.0 OTG, MMC/SD card interface x3, 1.8V input/output and display subsystem with LCD controller and dual 10-bit DACs
